Short tie rope with built-in safety buckle — designed for tie rails or trailers

The TIE ROPE at 78 cm (total length) is a compact tie-up solution developed for those who need safe and quick securing during trailer trips or in the stable. The short length gives the horse the necessary control without compromising on safety.

In the upper part, closest to the horse, the rope is reinforced with a 20 cm long layer of heavy-duty material. Below this is our extra safety buckle, which can be released by hand if the horse panics and pulls backward. The distance is designed so that you can reach the buckle without getting your fingers pinched between the halter, carabiner, and the horse.

The rope is made of the same silicone-coated material as Nordic Liberty’s lead ropes, making it easy to keep clean and resistant to water and mud — suitable for use in wash stalls as well as on trailer trips. At the carabiner, there is a removable silicone disc that prevents the horse from turning its head and biting the carabiner, while also muffling the sound when the carabiner hits a wall or the tie rail. At the other end is a 360° rotating carabiner that is easy to attach to rings in a trailer or stall. All buckles are made of aluminum, keeping the weight significantly lower than traditional chains — a difference noticeable to the horse, which often has to stand tied for longer intervals during preparation or transport.

For extra safety, we always recommend that a tie-up is combined with our HALTER 2.0 series to further minimize the risk of injury should an unwanted situation occur.

With its stylish design, the TIE ROPE matches the rest of the Nordic Liberty collection, including the HALTER series. The breaking points in the HALTER series (100–160 kg) are deliberately set lower than those of the rope so that the stress does not end up in the tie-up itself. The TIE ROPE can also be used with other halters; however, we recommend that you be aware of the breaking strength of that specific halter.

The safety buckle is released manually and does not pop open by itself. The TIE ROPE is developed to minimize the risk of injury, but cannot eliminate it.
